Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster early childhood development across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Manage classroom activities effectively by maintaining organized routines, promoting positive behavior management strategies, and encouraging active participation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships supporting each child's growth.
- Apply classroom management techniques to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child welfare, incident reports, and developmental assessments.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction.
- Implement lesson planning that integrates childhood development principles with creative activities designed to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR to ensure a safe environment at all times.
Experience (Will Train)
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education including literacy education, math instruction, and physical education.
- Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and collaboration with colleagues.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
- Previous experience in teaching physical education or tutoring young learners will be considered a plus.
