Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and social skills.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide individualized attention to children, addressing their unique needs and learning styles.
- Engage in child care, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of each child.
- Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Pass a Kansas Background Check (before starting)
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Pass a TB Test
- Complete a KCCTO Course about the Foundation for Safe and Healthy Early Care Facilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
