Dental Assistant or Expanded Function Dental Assistant
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, high-energy full time Dental Assistant. We are a family dental practice in Elizabethville, PA that treats patients of all ages. Our office provides high- tech care in a small town environment. Our practice is open Monday - Thursday 7:30 am-5 pm, no Fridays with no weekend hours.
Desired Qualities
Bubbly personality, outgoing, good phone etiquette
Comfortable treating patients of all ages
Chairside assisting experience beneficial but not necessary (if no prior experience assisting, after in office training X-ray certification would be required within 90 days of start date)
Ability to self-manage responsibilities and work well with other office team members
Responsibilities include but not limited to
Welcoming patients in a professional and cordial manner
Reviewing medical histories, taking blood pressure, giving pre and post op instructions
Taking x-rays, taking diagnostic impressions, pouring study models, sterilizing instruments
Tracking patient appointments and recall in the dental software
Checking out patients following appointments
Job requirements
X-ray certification** can take exam online after in office training
PA EFDA License if applying as EFDA
Customer service employment experience
Computer knowledge and expertise
Open Dental software background recommended but not required
Hepatitis B Vaccination recommended
CPR certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
