Rising Sun Child Care | Appleton & Kimberly, WI
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Flexible between 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday (Some teachers work four 10's, and others work five 8's)
Job Summary
Rising Sun Child Care is seeking a qualified and dedicated 4K Teacher to lead our Get Kids Ready Program in alignment with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF).
This role is responsible for preparing children for kindergarten using a structured, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with WMELS. This is a professional teaching position requiring a strong foundation in early childhood education and experience in lesson planning, assessment, and school readiness.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the Get Kids Ready (4K) curriculum in compliance with DCF and WMELS standards
- Plan and execute lesson plans, assessments, child portfolios, and family communication
- Create a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Monitor and support each child’s developmental progress and school readiness goals
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
- Maintain classroom compliance with licensing and program standards
- Attend monthly staff meetings and complete required continuing education
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (REQUIRED)
- CPR Certification
- Experience in a licensed childcare center or early education setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience teaching 4K or preschool in a structured program
- Familiarity with WMELS, child assessments, and school readiness benchmarks
