What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Coordinator position at Rising Ground, Inc.?
The Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for managing implementation and ongoing compliance with the HHS IFR Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment involving Unaccompanied Children and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Policies related to sexual abuse and harassment. The PSA Compliance Coordinator will create reports, collect, and utilize available data management systems for the purpose of assisting in identifying, assessing, and monitoring all PSA aspects of the quality of services provided by Rising Ground programs. This position will provide child-facing services on-site.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Review POH(Passage of Hope) policies and procedures (relating to PSA) to ensure compliance with oversight agencies (ORR, Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
- Develop strategies to foster a healthy reporting culture at the program.
- Prepare the program for PSA audits.
- Assist in developing PSA materials and training.
- Advise staff on how to report incidents.
- Follow incidents to their resolution and collect documentation of the program’s response and any investigations.
- Supervise facility’s data collection efforts specific to PSA.
- Prepare quarterly and yearly external reports on PSA incidents at the program as well as monthly internal reports for monitoring purposes, as well as to ensure Compliance with external guidelines.
- Serve as liaison to ORR and the Justice Center and advocate on behalf of the organization, as needed.
- Participate in Incident Review Committee.
- Perform on-site walkthroughs of the shelter and day programs to ensure compliance with PSA requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields and at least 1 year experience working with child welfare standards, best practices and compliance issues.
- Advanced skills using in Microsoft Office.
- Must have commitment to enhancing the level of service delivery provided to children and families.
- Familiarity with running reports and maintaining an updated excel file.
- Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal /written communication skills.
- Ability to travel to various Rising Ground locations, as needed.
- Willingness to learn new software/skills.
- Familiarity with the Unaccompanied Migrant Children population and external oversight agencies, such as ORR and OCFS preferred.
