Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cafe operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure efficient team performance
- Supervise food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Lead shift management by coordinating team efforts during busy hours to maintain smooth operations
- Implement and monitor food production processes to uphold quality standards in casual dining or fine dining settings
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to cafe operations
- Coordinate catering events or banquet services as needed
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating an inviting environment for guests and staff alike
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food service industry, including supervising teams in quick service or fast food restaurants
- Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Prior roles involving staff training & development, shift management, and customer service excellence are highly desirable
- Background in casual dining, fine dining, catering, or hotel food service environments is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food industry standards will be advantageous for success in this role
