Summary: The Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) Analyst is a supporting role within the finance department, responsible for helping guide the organization's financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities. This role will help to further develop Rishi’s capability to predict outcomes of business decisions and report on actual results of initiatives to ensure they align with expectations and vision of the company. This role will enhance organizational analytical capabilities while helping shape the financial acumen of our rapidly growing organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


• Build out and own detailed models for each business unit that can be seamlessly maintained and help drive understanding and decision making so the company achieve annual EBITDA, revenue, and brand targets

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and drive business performance, including:

  • Forecasting: Unit Consumption, Quarterly Forecasts, Annual Budgets and Long Range Plan
  • Variance analysis
  • Trend analysis
  • Margin analysis
  • Pricing analysis, both competitive and internal
  • Return on investment analysis relating to, but not limited to:

- Product development

- Sales and marketing activities

- Capital expenditures

  • Financial impact from operational improvements
  • Capacity analysis
  • Other ad hoc projects and analysis 

• Support the monthly reporting and variance analysis process, helping explain key trends and performance drivers

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate financial insights to internal stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial insights and support strategic business initiatives. Work with cross-functional leaders to prepare, present, and/or collect key performance metrics for monthly reporting.

• Continuously improve financial planning and analysis processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Goals of Position:

• Timely issuance of reporting and analysis

  • Materials for Month End reporting and analysis decks to be completed by End of Business Day 7

• Ownership and continuous updates of various models

  • Models for all Business Units to be stood up within 9 months and refreshed on a monthly basis (with actuals) 

• Successful cross-functional collaboration

  • Quarterly business reviews: Prep materials within 3 weeks of close. These will be utilized in reviews with all Department Heads

• Level up the financial acumen of the organization

  • Quarterly Lunch and Learns on a different finance / working capital topic

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Education and/or Experience  

Required:                                          

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-2 years in FP&A, banking, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and building/working in financial models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point; able to create clean, effective presentations that communicate insights clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous data
  • Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple priorities on a small, agile team
  • Curious, resourceful, and eager to learn the "why" behind the numbers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in ERP and BI tools is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills
