What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at RiseWell Community Services?
JOB FUNCTION: Provide safe, comfortable transportation to clients. Complete all required trainings and adhere to all regulations. Assist with maintenance of vehicles and documentation. Complete required vehicle maintenance checks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide safe and comfortable transportation for all clients to and from sites.
- Complete all required DOT 5310 checks, necessary forms and trainings to ensure compliance with all agency and funding source policies, procedures and regulations. This includes but is not limited to:
- Annual DMV check
- Driver Training- operating the vehicle, working with vulnerable populations, sensitivity and general knowledge of accessibility equipment
- ADA/Title VI Training
- semi-annual training on wheelchair lifts operation and proper securement
- Assist in maintenance policies for vehicle up-keep and safety performance.
- Provide back-up driving as needed. Working knowledge of routes
- Responsible for scheduled work assignments, completion of vehicle and passenger forms, maintain attendance and punctuality of scheduled times and designated locations.
- Report all problematic events/ incidents to program supervisor immediately.
- Comply with agency Compliance Plan and False Claims Policy by preventing, detecting and reporting any potential healthcare abuse and fraud. Report any potential non-compliance and comply with all other federal, state and local regulations applicable to this job description.
- Utilize all agency-based IT applications pertaining to this job description in a proficient manner.
- Remain current on changing developments in individual field of expertise.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
