Our goal is to share an environment of academic excellence through active, hands-on learning opportunities for elementary students (currently kindergarten through 2nd grade). Risen Savior Academy is a private Christian elementary school that opened in Fall of 2023 with a kindergarten class and is growing a grade each year until we are a K to 8 school. RSA is seeking individuals interested in working alongside others who have similar values and beliefs and are willing to share those with our students.

Job Description:
The purpose of the after-care coordinator is to plan, organize, and lead after-school activities for elementary aged children in a warm, nurturing, Christ-centered, safe, and loving environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Early Childhood or Elementary Education coursework, training, or experience (formal college education preferable)
- Ability to complete all Florida DOE requirements (background check, fingerprinting, etc.)

Duties
As a practical definition, the After-Care Coordinator:
Plan, supervise and manage preschool/elementary age school children in their after-school activities
- Help prepare the after-care environment and set up activities
- Assist students with homework, if needed
- Follows all school procedures to ensure the safety of all students
- Help with general housekeeping tasks
Supports students in after school activities
- Interact with, initiate, and encourage children in daily activities
- Help children control behavior using a Christ-centered, positive, consistent approach
- Attend to the needs of individual children with sensitivity
- Attend to ill or injured children
Builds strong relationships with students, parents, families, and colleagues
- Engages in appropriate and positive teacher-child interactions
- Maintain good communication with parents/guardians
- Help build a supportive, caring team
- Attend required staff meetings and functions
Hours: 2:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (August - May)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
