About the Opportunity
Risen Bits LLC is expanding its nationwide network of independent IT Field Service Technicians. We are seeking experienced contractors who can provide professional on-site IT services for business clients across the United States.
As an independent contractor partnering with Risen Bits, you will perform technical service assignments such as installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and infrastructure support for various client environments.
This opportunity is ideal for self-employed technicians or small IT service providers who value flexibility, project-based work, and the ability to manage their own schedules while collaborating with a professional service network.
Travel may be required depending on project needs. When travel assignments are approved, travel-related expenses (flights, hotels, car rentals, gas, tolls, parking, and meals) are reimbursed according to project guidelines and documentation requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Perform on-site IT service calls such as hardware replacement, device installations, and system troubleshooting
- Configure and support desktops, laptops, routers, printers, POS systems, and networking equipment
- Complete network setups and infrastructure troubleshooting when required
- Provide real-time updates through the client’s ticketing or messaging system (ETA, progress updates, completion notes)
- Document work performed and submit service reports after each assignment
- Coordinate with dispatch or operations teams to ensure projects are completed successfully
Engagement Details
- Project-based assignments based on availability and location
- Typical service windows occur Monday–Friday during business hours
- Travel assignments may be required depending on project needs
- Some projects may involve extended deployments (example: 1 month on-site followed by time off)
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in IT support, field services, or computer repair
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, networking basics, and hardware troubleshooting
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally on-site with clients
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when needed
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and professional
