The Sustainability Project Coordinator will oversee and support the execution of key projects, including an IPNA of the company’s portfolio and the development and implementation of solar energy projects. This individual will manage project schedules, ensure alignment with sustainability goals, and work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and partners to ensure the timely and successful delivery of these initiatives. This individual will manage the collection and analysis of property data and support the further integration of sustainability and energy efficiency into our portfolio. A strong understanding of engineering principles and project management is essential. Knowledge of and experience in affordable housing is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
IPNA Project Coordination:
- Manage day-to-day activities of the IPNA project, including scheduling inspections, gathering building documentation and monitoring milestones
- Review deliverables such as property condition reports, energy efficiency analyses, and compliance recommendations to ensure alignment with project goals
- Support the development of a portfolio-wide dashboard for monitoring capital improvements, mechanical equipment lifecycles, and energy efficiency metrics
- Support the planning and installation of Solar PV systems across a selection of RiseBoro’s building portfolio
- Monitor project milestones for Solar PV installations, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
- Collaborate with Property Management and Finance teams to track solar energy savings and evaluate the impact of renewable energy investments on operational costs
- Review engineering reports, energy audit findings, and physical needs assessments to identify actionable items
- Evaluate and prioritize green building improvements across the portfolio based on cost-effectiveness and impact
- Assist in analyzing utility benchmarking data, structural assessments, and mechanical equipment inventories
- Support other sustainability initiatives as needed
- Act as a liaison between internal departments, external consultants, solar developers, and funding partners
- Coordinate meetings to review progress, findings, and recommendations on special projects
- Prepare updates and presentations for senior leadership, funding partners, and community stakeholders
- Assist in collecting, managing, and analyzing property data for IPNA and Solar PV projects
- Ensure data accuracy and support its integration into portfolio asset management systems
- Demonstrated progressive experience in the field of construction, architecture, engineering, or sustainability field
- Excellent building performance and analysis skills

- Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of City and State agencies, programs, and development processes is a plus

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 1 years of experience in project management, engineering, or a related role, preferably within affordable housing or sustainability-focused projects
- Strong understanding of building systems, energy efficiency, and construction and housing regulations in New York City
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Familiarity with Local Law 97, IPNA methodologies, and affordable housing funding programs (e.g., LIHTC, HPD) is highly desirable
