We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves framing, finishing, and general carpentry work on residential projects including roofing-related structures, decks, additions, and remodeling. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and communicates well with the crew and homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform framing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry on residential construction projects
- Build and install decks, porches, roof tie-ins, fascia, soffit, and related structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and install lumber, sheathing, trim, and other materials accurately
- Ensure work meets building codes, quality standards, and project timelines
- Collaborate with other trades and crew members to keep jobs on schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Properly use and care for hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Report material needs, progress, and any issues to the supervisor promptly
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter in residential construction (2 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of framing, deck construction, and general carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Proficient with common power tools (circular saw, miter saw, nail guns, etc.) and hand tools
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work overtime when needed to meet deadlines
Pay: $20.00 - $30.53 per hour
