Are you an early-career Software Engineer with full stack experience, looking to join a very promising startup in an environment with little bureaucracy and fast iteration? Do you want to help build the core product experience of an AI assistant that is genuinely changing how people manage their working lives?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Series B AI startup backed by top-tier investors. The team is building the world's most powerful AI executive assistant - a proactive, iMessage-native assistant that manages inboxes, preps meetings, handles scheduling, and takes action across email, calendar, Slack, and 100 other tools before users even have to ask.
As part of a small, high-caliber engineering team, you'll take ownership of features end-to-end from day one — scoping, building, launching, and monitoring in production. The team runs lean by design, which means you'll move fast, make real decisions, and feel the impact of your work directly in the product. You'll collaborate closely with the founder, PMs, and designers, and grow quickly in an environment that combines high expectations with high trust.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role perfect for engineers who are early in their career but not early in their drive.
The Role
- Build and ship complete features end-to-end - from clean, maintainable code to testing, rollout, and production monitoring
- Collaborate with the founder, PMs, and designers to understand product requirements and navigate trade-offs
- Contribute across the full stack with a lean toward backend and distributed systems
- Integrate third-party APIs and build internal tooling
- Own features end-to-end — from code to deployment, observability, and maintenance
- Work in person 4 days a week from the San Francisco office
The Person
- 0-3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts — queuing, caching, retries, or reliability patterns
- Exposure to real-time systems or event-driven architectures such as WebSockets
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with high ownership
