Are you Production Manager with an Engineering degree, or an Engineer with strong manufacturing experience and proven leadership skills, looking to take ownership of complex manufacturing operations and progress into broader operations management?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist manufacturer with a global footprint. You will lead daily production and assembly operations, manage key personnel, and drive performance across a technically complex manufacturing environment.

You will take ownership of production planning, staffing, scheduling, and process performance, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets are achieved. Working closely with Engineering and Maintenance, you will resolve technical issues, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.

With a strong focus on technical problem-solving, you will support low-volume and complex production builds, investigate process failures and nonconformances, and improve tooling and manufacturing documentation. You will also oversee ERP production data, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met.

This role would suit a degree-qualified Production Manager or an experienced Engineer who has progressed into leadership, looking to take ownership of production performance, lead teams, and develop towards broader operations management opportunities.

The Role:

• Lead daily production and assembly operations, overseeing production planning, staffing, scheduling, and manufacturing performance.
• Manage production personnel, resolve technical issues, optimise workflows, and drive improvements in productivity, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to resolve nonconformances, support complex manufacturing builds, and maintain safety and quality.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, mechanical systems, production equipment, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Previous lead, leadership or supervisory experience.
