Are you a Maintenance or Engineering Manager looking to take over a the reliability, process improvement and CAPEX projects for a site of a global manufacturing organization?
Do you want to take charge of a small team of reliability, process and project engineers, where you will lead the team to define how maintenance is done not just respond to it and work in conjunction with the other Maintenance Manager?
This is a well-established manufacturer and are part of a wider group with multiple sites, meaning there is scope to grow beyond Ottawa if you want it. The plant runs a continuous operation and they are now looking for a Maintenance Manager to take over the engineering function of the department.
In this role you will be owning and developing the maintenance system from the top. You will manage a team reliability engineers, maintenance planners and process/project engineers and, set priorities, define KPIs, develop training plans, oversee capital projects, and work side by side with department managers to improve reliability across the facility. You will be office-based with regular shop floor presence. This is a strategic leadership role, not a hands-on technician position.
This role would suit an Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager who holds a degree and has experience leading reliability and projects within a maintenance department.
The Role
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and planners within a manufacturing environment
- Own the maintenance system - set KPIs, build training programmes, and drive reliability improvements
- Manage capital projects from feasibility through to implementation, working with group engineering and external contractors
- Work in conjunction with the other Maintenance Manager who runs the hands on maintenance team and leads the technicians
The Candidate
- Engineering or Maintenance Manager from within a manufacturing environment
- Hold a degree in an engineering discipline
- Have lead and developed maintenance systems, reliability, and CAPEX / Improvement projects within a maintenance setting
Salary : $120,000 - $143,000
