On offer is the most senior technical floor role within a brand new hydraulic cylinder remanufacturing operation, where your knowledge will be the foundation everything else is built on.
This is an established hydraulic manufacturer launching a first-of-its-kind remanufacturing service, taking end-of-life cylinders (their own and from competitors) and restoring them to full specification for rental and fleet companies. No one else in the region is doing this. The orders are already secured. The long-term plan is to expand to multiple locations across the USA. This person is not joining an existing department — they are becoming the technical heartbeat of something new.
On offer is a role with real authority and breadth. You will receive incoming cylinders, carry out full root cause analysis, and determine what needs to happen to return each one to service. You will oversee and carry out machining, assembly, testing, and inspection. You will make judgment calls on repairability, write up findings, and lead failure analysis investigations. Your understanding of hydraulic cylinder design, application context, and failure modes will drive quality across the entire operation. The business will fund your IFPS certification — they want you qualified and recognised as the specialist you are. As the division grows, so does your team.
This role would suit a senior Hydraulic Technician, Fluid Power Specialist, or highly experienced Hydraulic Engineer who is ready to be the go-to person in a business, with the technical autonomy, industry recognition, and opportunity to mould a team and department around them.
The Role:
- Senior technical lead across the full remanufacturing process — inspection, root cause analysis, machining, assembly, pressure testing, and sign-off
- IFPS Hydraulic Mechanic (HM) or Hydraulic Specialist (HS) certification fully funded, required within 9 months
- Direct input into process development, repair standards, and the capability of the team as the division scales nationally
- Up to $40/hour with overtime available from day one
The Candidate
- Hands-on experience across hydraulic repair, machining, assembly, testing, and inspection
- Deep knowledge of hydraulic cylinder design, failure modes, and application context — able to diagnose why a cylinder failed, not just what failed
- IFPS HM or HS certified, or confident in obtaining within 9 months
Salary : $35 - $40
