RISE Services is looking for Support Staff to provide Residential support to adults living with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
As a Residential Direct Support Professional, you'll provide personalized care to individuals living in one of our group homes statewide. Your goal is to engage with and be present for milestones in your clients lives, both big and small.

Essential Functions:
- Build meaningful relationships.
- Advocate for success.
- Promote the rights of people receiving services.
- Document daily progress.
- Remain calm in times of stress or excitement.
- Encourage interaction and independence.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and grooming as needed.
- Maintain the health and safety of clients in your care.
- Other duties as assigned
Day to day:
- Follow clients' plan to achieve desired outcomes and provide support as indicated.
- Assist people (as applicable to the person) with the following supports:
- Daily living
- Hygiene
- Intimate care
- Mobility
- Encouraging relationships
- Accessing their community, provide/arrange transportation
- Therapeutic objectives
- Skill development
- Communication
- Behavioral supports to include redirecting and/or physically supporting people using approved techniques
- Adequate supervision
- Medication and medical issues when indicated. Shall follow medical protocols and doctors orders and implement specialized interventions for dealing with unique health needs as required
- Other needs of the person as identified by the team
- Quickly and effectively respond to emergency situations and natural disasters such as fire, application of First Aid, CPR, approved medical protocols, behavior intervention, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications are:
- Verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Ability to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned
- Ability to pass and maintain a DHS Background check
- Ability to pass and maintain CPR and First Aid training certification
- Ability to pass and maintain Oregon Intervention Systems (OIS) training certification, if applicable
- Have and maintain a current drivers license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance per RISE requirements, if required to transport clients. Must be 21 if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle.
- Be required to clock in and out, and document daily goal progress using their personal smartphones
Training and some meetings will take place at our Regional La Grande Office, but day to day shifts will take place in the individuals home/community.
