What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations and Accounts Coordinator position at Rise Innovations?
Job Overview
Operations & Accounts Coordinator
Rise Innovations is a smart home, AV, and low-voltage systems integration company serving the Twin Cities and Brainerd Lakes areas. We install technology systems in high-end homes and select commercial spaces, and we’re looking for someone to help keep the operational side of the business running smoothly.
We’re looking for an Operations & Accounts Coordinator to own the day-to-day administrative and financial operations that keep the business running.
This is a steady, full-time role for someone who takes pride in a well-run process. If you’re the kind of person who likes a clean inbox, a closed-out month, and nothing falling through the cracks, you’ll do well here. We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating consistency, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and helps keep the business running efficiently month after month.
What you’ll own:
- Accounts payable — entering and scheduling bills, processing payments on time
- Invoicing — generating and sending customer invoices promptly and accurately
- Accounts receivable — tracking what’s owed and following up so payments come in on schedule
- Vendor management — setting up new vendors, maintaining accounts and records
- Purchasing — placing and tracking orders for equipment and materials
- Inventory — keeping counts accurate and records current for the Baxter shop
- Service & client coordination — helping ensure requests, scheduling, and follow-up don’t fall through the cracks
- Month-end close — assisting with month-end administrative and financial close processes
- Bookkeeping liaison — serving as the internal point of contact for our outside bookkeeping firm, handing off clean records and keeping the two sides in sync
What you bring:
- You’re organized and you follow through. When you say something’s handled, it’s handled.
- You’re comfortable with numbers and detail-oriented work, and you catch mistakes before they become problems.
- You’re reliable, proactive, and steady. You don’t need constant direction, and recurring work gets done without anyone having to chase you.
- Comfortable with standard business software (QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required) and quick to learn new tools.
- Experience in administrative, office coordination, bookkeeping, or operations support is preferred. We’ll teach you our systems, but we expect you to learn quickly, show initiative, and become the go-to person for your responsibilities.
The details:
- Full-time position
- Remote work is available; candidates based in the Twin Cities should expect to travel to our Baxter shop approximately 2–3 times per month for full-day visits
- $45,000–$55,000 per year depending on experience
- Reports to the Operations & Marketing Manager
Benefits & perks:
- Retirement savings with company IRA match
- Monthly home-office stipend to support your remote setup
- Company-provided phone
- The flexibility of remote work on a small team that values your time
What success looks like:
- Bills are paid on time and vendor relationships stay organized
- Customer invoices go out promptly and collections stay on track
- Inventory and purchasing records remain accurate
- Service requests and client follow-up are handled promptly and professionally
- Month-end processes run smoothly with clean, reliable information
- Team members can trust that operational and financial details are handled without constant oversight
We’re a small team, so the person in this seat matters a lot. We value integrity, accountability, and service, and we care about doing things right. If you’re looking for a stable role where your reliability is genuinely valued, we’d like to hear from you.
