Summary: The CT/Xray Technologist is responsible for efficiently providing high quality imaging, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization, while striving to minimize patient wait times and provide superior service.
Essential Functions:

Utilizes a variety of computerized and manual systems to set up/perform examinations and maintain information.
Prepares equipment and supplies.
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
Patient care and communication skills to deal with patients from infant through geriatric age groups.
Utilizes clear and effective communication to properly screen patients prior to scan for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to ordered exam.
When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
Are required to become fluent in Calcium Score and CCTA imaging.
Enters, transmits and reports results and necessary paperwork. Reports imaging results to physician.
Maintains logs and work-related statistics.
Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
Maintains equipment logs and follows department reporting procedures.
Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions, as necessary.
Assists with additional, basic treatment of patients within scope of practice.
Assists with cleaning and maintaining of the facility and Imaging Department to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment, as well as assist maintaining and preparing rooms between patients.
Assists in the collection and processing of laboratory specimens.
Monitors and restocks supplies as needed.
Provides necessary input to management.
Fulfilling basic registration duties during the hours when registration is not present.
Performs other duties as assigned or as needed.

Qualifications:Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (Bachelors preferred.) Additional state requirements as applicable. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.
Licenses/Certification: TMB State licensed, ARRT (R) certification preferred ((CT) preferred), BLS issued by either The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of CT experience required.
