Role Description
Tutors work as Independent Contractors. The tutor will provide tailored academic support to students, focusing on SAT preparation and K-12 subjects. Key responsibilities include adapting tutoring methods to meet individual student needs. Exceptional communication and engagement with students and their families are essential to ensure an effective learning experience. Flexibility and dedication to helping students achieve their academic goals are integral components of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in tutoring the grade levels and subjects desired - K-12 subjects, including English, Math, Science, and standardized test preparation for SAT exams
- Strong instructional and communication skills to effectively deliver engaging and personalized academic support.
- Ability to assess student understanding, provide constructive feedback, and tailor materials to individual learning styles
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently in an on-site environment (i.e. libraries)
- Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred
- Previous tutoring experience is a plus
