Job Title: Daycare Assistant / Floater (Flexible Hours) evening care

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and adaptable Daycare Assistant/Floater to join our team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of various ages and thrives in a flexible, fast-paced childcare environment. As a floater, you will support lead teachers and step into different classrooms as needed to maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising and caring for children ranging from infants to school-age
- Support classroom teachers with daily routines, activities, and transitions
- Step into different classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate staff coverage
- Help prepare and clean up activities, meals, and play areas
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment at all times
- Engage children through play, reading, and age-appropriate learning activities
- Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous childcare experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours (including opening/closing shifts as needed)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, energetic, and dependable
- Must pass background check (if required by state regulations)
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
