Full-Time | Outpatient Physical Therapy
Rise Above Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our privately owned outpatient physical therapy practice in Summerville, South Carolina.

Our therapists typically treat approximately 8–10 patients per day, allowing time to provide individualized, hands-on care and develop meaningful relationships with patients. About the Position
Our Summerville clinic treats a diverse outpatient population, including orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, balance and vestibular conditions, and patients working to improve strength, mobility and functional performance.
As a Physical Therapist with Rise Above Physical Therapy, you will:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
- Assess range of motion, strength, mobility, balance and functional movement
- Develop individualized plans of care based on each patient's needs and goals
- Provide skilled outpatient physical therapy including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional training and manual therapy
- Treat orthopedic, musculoskeletal, sports-related and post-operative conditions
- Help patients safely return to work, recreation, sports and daily activities
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention and self-management
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Collaborate with our clinical and administrative team to provide an excellent patient experience
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Current South Carolina Physical Therapist license or eligibility for South Carolina licensure
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Commitment to individualized, patient-centered care
Experience in the following areas is a plus, but not required:
- Outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
- Manual therapy
- Sports rehabilitation
- Return-to-sport rehabilitation
- Post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation
- Balance or vestibular rehabilitation
