RISCO Power is seeking an experienced Electrician to serve as Project Lead for residential and light commercial solar, Battery, Generator and EV Charger Installations. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the electrical execution of high-quality Installations, ensure full code compliance, and lead small crews while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Lead Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for the successful electrical and overall execution of each installation project, including but not limited to:
-Leading solar installation crews (typically 1–2 additional installers depending on project size and complexity) and directing all aspects of the job from arrival to commissioning. You will serve as the primary on-site electrician and project lead for the majority of installations.
-Performing and overseeing all electrical work, including Solar systems, batteries, Generators and EV Chargers.
-Ensuring full compliance with the National Electrical Code and manufacturer specifications.
-You will be accountable for the quality and correctness of every installation. Any deficiencies identified during inspection must be corrected promptly by you as the Lead.
-Managing electrical materials and inventory: Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each project one week in advance, obtain approval, pick up orders, and verify completeness to avoid delays.(Will be coordinating with the project Manager)
-Maintaining an organized and efficient work vehicle, including daily organization of components, tools, and materials. You will also handle Home Depot or supply house runs for electrical consumables, conduit, wire, breakers, and other essential items.
-Coordinating daily operations: Communicate start times with the team.
-Executing system labeling and documentation: Apply all required equipment labels, placards, and warning stickers in accordance with code and manufacturer requirements. Print and organize plan sets for the job site.
-System commissioning and troubleshooting: Commission completed solar systems using manufacturer apps, verify proper operation, troubleshoot electrical issues, and make necessary corrections to bring the system online successfully.
Inspection preparation and closeout: Ensure all required permits, plan sets, and documentation are properly placed onsite. Prepare the installation for smooth AHJ inspections.
