The Payment Operations team sits at the heart of Rippling’s financial infrastructure, responsible for ensuring that every customer payment is executed reliably, accurately, and on time. As Rippling expands globally, this team plays a mission-critical role in scaling our operations and delivering a seamless experience to customers.
Our specialists monitor and manage complex flows of funds across products and geographies, investigate and resolve payment exceptions, and work closely with banking partners, product, and engineering teams to continuously improve system performance. We operate with a bias for precision, speed, and customer impact—ensuring every transaction meets our bar for operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
About The Role
As a Payment Operations Senior Specialist, you will be at the forefront of monitoring fund flows, resolving payment exceptions, and ensuring timely execution across our global payment rails. You will work closely with the following departments to ensure timely payment transactions for clients and their employees: customer support team, account management, implementation, global operations, payments engineering, risk and compliance, and spend management.

About The Role
As a Payment Operations Senior Specialist, you will be at the forefront of monitoring fund flows, resolving payment exceptions, and ensuring timely execution across our global payment rails. You will work closely with the following departments to ensure timely payment transactions for clients and their employees: customer support team, account management, implementation, global operations, payments engineering, risk and compliance, and spend management.
What You Will Do
- Monitor debit and credit transactions for EFT payments, wires and physical checks
- Work closely with banks to resolve outstanding stuck transactions and requests for information
- Map incoming payments to corresponding orders
- Help navigate necessary process changes in team process due to evolving bank regulations
- 3 years of proven experience in operations or a related field
- Strong understanding of payments and banking operations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
