Our mission is to build the core infrastructure, tools, and shared services that allow every other engineering team to ship highly reliable, secure, and globally scalable features with maximum velocity. We manage the foundational components that ensure Rippling's single, unified platform operates efficiently and securely.
Our Scope: Foundational Systems for 1,000 Engineers
Operating as a critical scaled team, we own and operate a variety of mission-critical systems that directly support close to 1,000 engineers building products and internal platforms across Rippling. We deliver the most foundational shared systems inside the Platform organization.

What You Will Do
- Drive the design, implementation, and evolution of core platform infrastructure and shared services.
- Lead mission critical projects to build and scale core platform capabilities
- Work closely with engineers across the organization to adopt these components to evolve existing products and bring new products to market
- Influence architecture, technology selections, and trends of the whole company
- Build and grow your engineering skills in different challenging areas and solve hard technical problems
- 5 years of hands-on experience building core product infrastructure and distributed systems that directly support and empower product-facing engineering teams.
- You have seen and contributed to systems operating at a significant technical and organizational scale.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, not just engineers but cross functional groups like product and design, and an amplitude of end users
