As our portfolio expands, we're looking to grow our Field Technician team. This role will work closely with our customer service team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our telecommunications team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment and services. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment, including routers, switches, and fiber optics.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to resolve network and service issues promptly.
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate equipment placement and installation requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and equipment used, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and ensure it is stocked with necessary tools and materials.
- Flexible Schedule: Be available to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Work with upper management in any tasks that they assign
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in telecommunications or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in telecommunications or a related field is a plus. Experience with Dish Network technology is also preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to learn new and existing systems, technologies, and distributions independently.
