Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
- Experience or strong interest in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or related acute care settings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications safely, and follow clinical protocols.
- Strong therapeutic communication skills, including de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed, patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff.
- Solid documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills, with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and maintain calm, professional conduct in high-pressure situations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention/Intervention training preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN) required; BSN strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work required shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
