Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate tools and techniques such as buffing and floor care equipment
- Conduct janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks such as repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects that may involve high-volume or specialized cleaning procedures
- Support custodial operations by preparing spaces for events or daily use, including setting up furniture or fixtures when needed
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial, residential, or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and troubleshooting common issues
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily responsibilities effectively
