The Opportunity
As People Partner – Rip Curl, you’ll be the go-to HR expert for our U.S. operations, providing strategic and operational support across the employee lifecycle. You’ll build trusted relationships with managers and team members, offering guidance on everything from employee relations to onboarding, performance, and development. You’ll also play a key role in embedding our values and enhancing the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
�� Employee Relations
- Provide expert advice on ER matters, ensuring compliance and fairness
- Conduct investigations and produce high-quality documentation
- Support managers and escalate complex cases as needed
- Own recruitment for select roles and support hiring managers
- Manage onboarding logistics and ensure a smooth Day 1 experience
- Oversee offboarding, conduct exit interviews, and ensure data accuracy
- Champion development programs and facilitate training
- Support succession planning, capability building, and wellbeing initiatives
- Guide managers through performance reviews and improvement plans
- Monitor compliance and support high-potential talent identification
- Support key HR cycles including salary reviews, engagement surveys, and succession planning
- Ensure timely communication and education for managers
- Promote health, safety, and wellbeing across the business
- Ensure compliance with BCorp HR requirements
- Prepare accurate documentation and advise Payroll of employee changes
- Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure consistency and alignment
✅Qualification in Human Resources or related field
✅ Experience in an HR advisory or generalist role
✅ Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices
✅ Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
✅ Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
✅ High level of confidentiality and professionalism
✅ Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms
