About the role...
The position’s primary role is to represent the Rip Curl brand in line with the company’s creative vision at its company owned and licensed retail locations. With direction from the VM Specialist and VM & Store Development Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the implementation of the visual merchandising directives and standards to achieve the company’s goals pertaining to brand image, product presentation, and product sell through. You must be based in, or willing to relocate to Honolulu, Hawaii. The roles pay range is $24 - $26 per hour. Day to day you will;
- Execute and customize store visual directives and displays in all Hawaii Rip Curl stores
- Focused on providing in-store visual support and training. Travel to stores throughout the week is required to ensure all merchandising standards are maintained
- Provide weekly store reports on product sell-through and display opportunities within each store
- Maintain and track seasonal signage and collateral for all in-store displays
- Upkeep existing plant orders and replacements for props, mannequins, lighting, sign holders, etc.
- Manage weekly photo uploads on the shared drive for all seasonal flips including store imagery and brand manual elements throughout the flagship fleet
- Constant 2-way communication with State Manager, Store Managers and store crew to effectively and efficiently achieve directive outcomes
- Follow company procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment
- Any other task or ad hoc duties the employer may reasonably require not necessarily related to the above listed responsibilities but related to the efficient operation of the business
- Physical Requirements: Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Must have the ability for repetitive physically body movements. I.e., bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Must have the ability to climb ladders to execute duties. Must have valid driver's license for transportation needs.
We are looking for someone who is capable of implementing VM direction and aesthetic while adjusting based off constructive feedback & inventory levels and has experience using basic hardware and tools for visual maintenance as needed. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on department needs and consistently evolving schedule. You will have experience working independently and with a team while handling multiple projects concurrently and are proficient in Apple products and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the use of digital cameras/phone.
