About the role We are looking for a Specialist Geoscientist to help the Geoscience team deliver high-quality geological data, interpretation and technical insights that support exploration and resource development outcomes. In this role, you’ll contribute to geological understanding through drilling programs, field observations and technical studies, while working with a broad range of technical disciplines. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex geological challenges and wants to build technical leadership and influence across exploration and resource evaluation activities. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Superintendent Geoscience and working in a diverse team within RDMT (Resource Development & Mine Technical Team, you will: • Coordinate geological drilling programs and peer reviews to support grade, geotechnical and hydrogeological objectives. • Interpret geological and structural data to improve orebody knowledge and resource understanding. • Lead or support the delivery of tenure reporting obligations and technical studies. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance geological processes, data acquisition, quality and technical outcomes. • Collaborate with geologists, geotechnical engineers, geophysicists, hydrogeologists and other technical stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions. • Mentor team members and share technical knowledge to build capability across the geoscience function. • Facilitate communication of geological risks, opportunities and key findings to technical and operational stakeholders. Required for Success • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team. • Demonstrated experience collecting, analysing and interpreting geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological data within exploration, mining or resource development environments. • Knowledge of geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling design, logging and interpretation practices. • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and communicate technical concepts effectively. • A qualification in Geoscience, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Helpful for Success • Experience supporting JORC-compliant resource or exploration activities. • Technical mentoring or coaching experience. • Exposure to tenure management, geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical modelling or geophysical programs.
