About This Role
Operate TRUMPF Punch, cutting sheet metal from 18ga to 11ga, into standard products to include all specials, small parts, and templates needed by production teams. Setup and maintain the tooling needed to complete work orders. Ensure material gauge and surface finish of all products reflect those called out on work orders, shop drawings, and applicable quality specifications. Enter completed quantities into the company data system. Label and stack finished goods for further processing. Operator may be asked to complete other fabrication duties as assigned.

What You'll Be Doing
- Champion a "Safety First" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team.
- Set up and adjust tooling for features specified in CNC programs, ensuring accuracy per drawings and CAD/CAM files.
- Operate and maintain sheet metal punch or similar CNC equipment, retrieving and loading programs via machine computer.
- Sharpen tooling using powered grinding equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and tool selection by reading and adhering to Operation Manuals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
- Accurately complete and submit all required production paperwork and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from a technical school preferred.
- 2 years of experience operating sheet metal punches or similar CNC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams.
- Strong understanding of shop math and units of measurement.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures.
- PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
- Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
- Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
