About The Role
We are looking for a Craft Electrician to support the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment and infrastructure across the Kennecott Copper operation.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled and safety‑conscious electrician to apply their expertise in a complex industrial environment, working a 4 on / 4 off continuous roster.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Electrical Maintenance and working in a collaborative and safety‑focused environment within Electrical Maintenance, you will be
- Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems from 12V DC to 13.8kV AC, including switchgear, transformers, and distribution panels
- Diagnosing and repairing AC and DC motors, including motor control circuits and starters
- Maintaining and troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters
- Installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation such as proximity sensors, level sensors, RTDs, and pressure sensors
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and site‑specific policies
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Proven experience working as an industrial or craft electrician in a heavy industrial or mining environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation across low and medium voltage applications
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Willingness and ability to work a 4 on / 4 off continuous roster
- A collaborative mindset with respect for others in a diverse and inclusive team environment
