Rio’s Café Bar Grill — Congress, AZ
Rio’s Café Bar Grill is looking for a dependable, team-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen. We serve American comfort favorites with Brazilian influence, including burgers, grilled meats, seafood, salads, and Brazilian-inspired dishes. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in consistent food, clean work habits, and helping the whole team deliver a good guest experience.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and tickets
- Set up and stock your station before service
- Keep food moving accurately and efficiently during busy periods
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
- Rotate, label, and store food properly
- Keep your station and shared kitchen areas clean throughout the shift
- Help with prep, receiving, and closing duties as assigned
- Support the team across stations when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant or line-cook experience is preferred; we’re willing to train a motivated candidate
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable following recipes and working from a ticket system
- Able to stay organized and focused during busy service
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Physical Requirements
- Stand and move for extended periods
- Frequently lift and carry kitchen items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work safely around hot equipment, sharp tools, and cold storage areas
- Perform repeated bending, reaching, and lifting
