Workers’ Compensation Specialist
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Specialist to manage patient cases from intake through resolution. This role involves coordinating care, verifying insurance and authorizations, and serving as a key liaison between patients, providers, adjusters, and employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workers’ compensation cases and patient scheduling
- Verify insurance, claims, and obtain authorizations
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, and physical therapy
- Communicate with adjusters, case managers, and employers
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and compliance with Division of Workers' Compensation guidelines
- Track claim status and assist with billing follow-up
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of workers’ comp, medical office, or insurance experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation processes (Texas experience preferred)
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
