Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hydraulic Technician role based in Tampa, FL. The Hydraulic Technician will inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems on marine and heavy equipment, including mobile hydraulics. Daily responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs, assembling and installing hydraulic components, testing system performance, and documenting all work performed. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, and following safety procedures and company standards. The Hydraulic Technician will collaborate with other technicians and project teams, support field service calls as needed, and provide clear communication to supervisors and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Hydraulic Systems and Mobile Hydraulics, including installation, diagnostics, and system optimization.
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment and marine hydraulic applications, with the ability to adapt to different machinery and environments.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting complex hydraulic issues and performing Maintenance & Repair on pumps, valves, cylinders, and related components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in hydraulics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as a hydraulic, mechanical, or maintenance technician, preferably in marine or industrial settings.
- Willingness to work in an on-site, hands-on environment and support occasional overtime or emergency service needs.
