Location: Hybrid — Phoenix, AZ
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $145,000–$185,000 base (DOE)
Role Description
This role leads enterprise-scale IT and cybersecurity initiatives across infrastructure, cloud, identity, compliance, and modernization domains. The Senior IT Project Manager owns scope, schedule, budget, risk, communication, and stakeholder alignment. The role requires autonomous execution, strict delivery discipline, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, architecture, operations, and security teams. The position governs the full project lifecycle from requirements through deployment and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT and cybersecurity programs.
- Build and maintain detailed project schedules, roadmaps, RAID logs, and performance dashboards.
- Drive planning, deployment, migration, and integration across infrastructure, cloud, network, and endpoint systems.
- Coordinate engineering, architecture, operations, and security partners to eliminate blockers.
- Maintain accurate milestone tracking and executive-grade reporting.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks before they impact delivery.
- Enforce structured change control, compliance alignment, and financial discipline.
- Support initiatives involving SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
- Lead program governance: status reviews, risk boards, and cross-functional syncs.
- Represent programs with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years leading enterprise IT or cybersecurity projects and programs.
- Proven delivery experience across infrastructure, cloud, network, and security domains.
- Strong program planning, execution governance, and reporting capability.
- Clear, concise communication with both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a high-velocity environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- PMP required.
- Security required.
- Experience in compliance-driven or audit-heavy delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Program leadership within regulated or government-adjacent environments (FedRAMP, DFARS, CJIS, HIPAA, etc.).
- Prior background in infrastructure, cloud, networking, or security engineering.
- Advanced certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, ITIL, SAFe/Agile leadership.
- Experience supervising vendor SLAs, performance, and third-party risk.
- Track record of building PMO frameworks, governance structures, or operational playbooks.
- Executive-level presentation and reporting capability.
