What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Abuse Counselor position at Ringgold Treatment Center?
Ringgold Treatment Center is a medication-assisted treatment program for opioid addiction. We are currently seeking an experienced part-time or full-time counselor who will work closely in a team environment with clinicians, medical personnel, and office personnel in accordance with State and Federal Regulations.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Provision of clinical counseling services including individual and group counseling
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Complete all intake, admission, discharge and transfer paperwork
- Maintain up to date and accurate records
- Provide case-management and referral services
- Maintain state required certifications
- Attend required training
- Educate patients in all aspects of treatment
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal & written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Certification preferred but not required: CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor), CADC I or II (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LSW (Licensed Social Worker), or equivalent.
