Essential Functions:
- Manage all incoming and outgoing telephone communications for the department
- Schedule patient clinics and clinic procedures
- Prepare charts and ensure all relevant clinical information is available prior to patient visits
- Update patient information and obtain vital signs as needed
- Coordinate comprehensive nursing care including pre- and post-procedure assessment, assisting with procedures, and follow-up care
- Support and educate patients and families throughout the care process
- Track patient visits and initiate billing procedures
- Maintain medical records and ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Oversee and replenish patient care supplies and equipment
- Administer nail care per physician referral and protocol
- Operate standard office equipment as required
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit problem-solving
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and standards
- Assist with orientation and education of co-workers, students, and healthcare team members
- Complete prior authorizations and carry out physician- or manager-assigned special tasks
- Flexibility to work scheduled holidays or shifts if needed
