We are seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development Manager – Defense, specializing in the defense sector to drive growth and expand our market presence. In this pivotal role, you will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with defense clients, and develop tailored strategies to meet their unique needs. Your expertise in sales, strategic planning, and project management will be essential in positioning our solutions as industry leaders.
What You Will Contribute:
- Identification of new market segments, programs, and procurement initiatives in the defense sector.
- Development and implementation of growth strategies for existing and new products.
- Monitor political, technological, and regulatory developments affecting the defense industry.
- Build and nurture long-term market entry and expansion plans in domestic and international markets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with procurement agencies, OEMs, system integrators, and international partners.
- Conduct regular customer visits, executive presentations, and technology briefings.
- Manage key customers throughout the entire project and product lifecycle.
- Serve as a trusted advisor within the defense community.
- Close collaboration with engineering, product management, and sales to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
- Support tenders (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and coordinating internal resources.
- Analysis of trends, customer requirements, and technological changes in the defense market.
- Assessment of the competitive landscape and development of strategic recommendations.
- Creation of business cases for new products or market entries.
- Participation in trade fairs, conferences, industry networks, and delegation trips.
- Represent the company with military, government, and industrial decision-makers.
- Maintain and expand a robust defense network.

Qualifications & Competencies:
- Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by ITAR
- Travel Required: Up to 25% of domestic and international travel.
- Basic knowledge in the following areas: Completed studies in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business administration, or equivalent qualifications.
- Bachelors in engineering and or mechanical engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in government contracts.
- Experience in the defense sector industry. (military career, project management, or sales).
- Strong technical understanding, ideally in mechanics, driving technology, sensor technology, electronics, or systems engineering.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, standards, norms, and regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR, BAFA, NATO-AQAP FAR).
- A strategic perspective combined with strong operational execution.
- Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
- Trustworthiness, integrity, and confident handling of sensitive information.
