Role Snapshot

You’ll keep our tooling in peak condition so production starts right the first time—every time. This is a full-time, on-site position on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 1:45 PM–10:00 PM.

A Day in the Life

You arrive before changeovers begin. Safety comes first—you reinforce Ring Container Technologies’ safety mission and verify the area is audit-ready. You review upcoming runs, inspect molds and tooling, clean and stage what’s needed, and update the training board for teammates you’re mentoring on tooling maintenance. During the shift you:

  • Execute preventative maintenance, cleaning, inspection, repair, and organized storage for all tooling.
  • Champion food safety, food defense, and quality systems to align with third‑party food safety standards.
  • Keep housekeeping top-notch so plant appearance exceeds internal and customer expectations.
  • Maintain tooling performance to meet or surpass OEE targets and customer quality requirements.
  • Drive SMED initiatives to increase machine availability and reduce changeover time.
  • Build and sustain an employee training program focused on tooling maintenance best practices.
  • Jump in as a Production Operator when needed to keep lines moving.

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Demands

  • Climbing: Ascending/descending ladders, stairs, and equipment using feet/legs and/or hands/arms; requires agility.
  • Stooping: Bending at the waist using lower extremities and back muscles.

Exertion: Medium Work — Exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Work Environment

  • Inside and outside environmental exposure.
  • Potential extreme heat exposure (above 100° for more than one hour).
  • Noise present.
  • Vibration affecting extremities or whole body.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, etc.
  • Possible fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
  • Exposure to oils and other cutting fluids (air and/or skin).
