Morning Primary Order Entry Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry & Customer Service Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical to our daily operations and requires speed, accuracy, and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for entering customer produce orders, assisting walk-in customers, and providing professional support by phone and in person.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food service environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and customer care. This role requires sustained focus and accuracy for extended periods of time. This role is best suited for someone who takes personal ownership of accuracy and understands how their work impacts the entire operation.

Schedule:

5:00am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and manage the majority of daily customer orders
• Rapidly and accurately enter handwritten customer orders into CRM software
• Record product details including quantities, pricing, and special instructions
• Maintain high standards for order accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Identify and correct order discrepancies before they impact picking or delivery
• Coordinate directly with the day-shift foreman to clarify orders, substitutions, and timing
• Provide accurate information regarding products, availability, and services
• Maintain and update customer records as needed
• Resolve customer questions or concerns calmly and professionally
• Receive and verify cash and check payments against driver route sheets
• Process credit card transactions accurately and securely
• Serve as the primary communication link between customers and warehouse operations

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and high-accuracy data entry skills
• Excellent typing 70 wpm and 10-key proficiency
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of detailed work with minimal supervision
• Experience working in food service, distribution, or logistics environments (preferred)
• Comfortable working with Windows-based systems
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean criminal background
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle a fast-paced environment
