Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and retail math practices
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and throughout the café environment
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests
Requirements
- Prior barista experience or coffee experience is highly preferred; a passion for coffee is a plus
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to serving and food prep
- Familiarity with food industry standards and serving etiquette is beneficial
