We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vinyl Siding Cutter to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and preparing vinyl siding materials to ensure seamless installation on residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality siding projects efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and schematics to determine cutting requirements for vinyl siding panels.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut vinyl siding to specified dimensions with precision.
- Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment necessary for working at various heights on construction sites.
- Follow all construction safety protocols, including the proper use of safety harnesses and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
- Assist with the installation process by preparing materials and ensuring cuts meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly storing tools and materials after use.
- Collaborate with team members such as carpenters, roofers, and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or siding installation is highly preferred; familiarity with roofing repair, metal roofing, or stucco is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment specific to siding cutting and installation.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards including ladder use, scaffolding safety, fall protection (safety harnesses), and workplace safety regulations.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience with construction estimating or working from detailed plans is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of building materials such as single-ply membrane roofing or masonry is beneficial but not required.
