PLC Programmer – (Automotive / Volkswagen Project)
Location: On‑site (Volkswagen)
Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based
We are seeking skilled PLC Programmers to join our engineering team for an upcoming on‑site project at Volkswagen. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, solid automation practices, and the ability to work effectively in a high-demand automotive environment.
🔹 Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using TIA Portal and/or Step 7 Manager
- Apply automation best practices aligned with Volkswagen or applicable industry standards
- Perform commissioning tasks, including I/O checks, functional testing, and system validation
- Interpret and work with electrical diagrams, DTI, and related technical documentation
- Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and structured documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (automation, electrical, mechanical, safety)
- Develop and configure HMI screens, including animations, alarms, recipes, and data logs
- Integrate and configure industrial networks (Ethernet, Profinet, or others as required)
- Work with drives, motion packages, and safety-related systems when applicable
🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience programming PLCs (TIA Portal / Step 7)
- Proficiency in programming languages: Ladder, Function Blocks, AWL, SCL
- Experience with HMI development (WinCC, TIA Portal)
- Understanding of industrial communication networks
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and DTI
- Familiarity with Safety systems (highly preferred)
- Experience with drives and motion control
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities
- Conversational English (if required by the project)
- Availability for on‑site work at Volkswagen
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of Volkswagen standards (e.g., VASS)
- Experience in commissioning and start‑up environments
