PROJECT MANAGER - ESTIMATOR
Rimmer & Roeter Construction, Inc., an established General Contractor located in Cashmere, Washington, seeks an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to manage commercial, industrial, agricultural and custom residential projects in North Central Washington. We provide construction services in the private and public market for both new, remodel and tenant improvement work.
Rimmer & Roeter Construction is seeking an organized, motivated and efficient Construction Manager with the capability to coordinate multiple construction projects from their conception to punch list/close out. Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Construction Project Manager, have a strong familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, project management and estimating, and be technically competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Projects. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Salary will depend on your experience, benefits are available.
Typical Job Responsibilities May Include:
Prepare project estimates using established company processes and procedures.
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes.
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Direct and supervise job superintendent or foreman.
Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.
Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
Facilitate onsite project meeting. Document meeting decisions and actions.
Take actions to deal with delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Prepare punch lists and as-built information.
