SummaryWe are representing an established civil engineering firm seeking a Municipal Engineer / Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects for municipalities and public agencies. This role is responsible for managing public works projects from planning and design through construction, while serving as the primary point of contact for municipal clients. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and experience presenting in public settings.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the main client manager for assigned municipalities and public agenciesAct as the single point of contact between the firm and municipal stakeholdersOversee and coordinate multiple infrastructure projects to ensure client satisfactionDesign and manage public infrastructure projects including roads, underground utilities, public buildings, parks, and recreational facilitiesPrepare engineering designs, calculations, and specifications using CAD toolsEstimate quantities, costs, and project feasibilityReview surveys, plans, reports, and development applications submitted by private developersAttend public meetings in the capacity of Municipal Engineer or Land Use Board EngineerPrepare and present public reports related to bids, project updates, and development reviewsProvide technical guidance during construction and support inspection staffEnsure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirementsIdentify project risks and support mitigation strategiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionActive Professional Engineer (PE) license required10 years of experience in civil or municipal engineeringExperience managing infrastructure projects for municipalities or public agenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including public presentationsAbility to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneouslyProficiency with CAD and engineering design softwareStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWork EnvironmentCombination of office and field workAttendance at municipal meetings requiredPeriodic site visits and construction coordinationCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insuranceShort-term and long-term disability coverageLife insurance401(k) with company contributionPaid holidays and PTOPaid parental leaveTuition reimbursement and professional development support
