Estimator

Summary:We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems to join a well-established, employee-owned company offering long-term stability and an ESOP program. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing competitive estimates and managing accounts from job walk through closeout. While multifamily project experience is preferred, candidates with commercial experience will also be considered. Sales experience and prior client account management are highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:Review mechanical plans and project documentation to generate accurate labor and material takeoffsPrepare bids, pricing, and proposals for HVAC and mechanical scopesCoordinate with internal departments and subcontractors to gather project-related dataTrack estimate details, contract extras, and change orders using Excel and estimating softwareCommunicate regularly with clients, GCs, and field teams to ensure scope clarity and pricing alignmentMaintain organized records of all estimating activitiesSupport business development efforts by maintaining relationships with clients and industry partnersManage awarded accounts as needed and stay involved through project handoffQualifications:5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical estimating (required)Prior experience in HVAC service or mechanical sales (preferred)Proven ability to manage client accounts and maintain repeat businessProficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and construction specificationsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAdditional Information:Location: Based in Southern California (Local candidates preferred)Industry Focus: HVAC, mechanical, and piping scopesProject Types: Multifamily preferred, commercial acceptableEmployee-Owned Company with ESOP participationCompetitive compensation with opportunities for long-term growth

Salary : $70,000 - $125,000
