Summary
An established general contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support ground-up and occupied rehabilitation multifamily construction projects across California. This role works closely with the lead Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and help drive projects from groundbreaking through closeout.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Superintendent in overseeing daily field operations on multifamily construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics
- Monitor project schedules and communicate progress updates to the project team
- Assist with quality control walkthroughs and ensure work is completed per plans and specifications
- Help maintain jobsite safety compliance and OSHA standards
- Document daily field activity including reports, photos, and site logs
- Review drawings and flag RFIs, conflicts, or discrepancies to the Superintendent
- Support punchlist completion and project closeout activities
- Assist with subcontractor meetings and trade sequencing coordination
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of field construction experience within a GC environment
- Multifamily, affordable housing, or residential construction experience preferred
- Eagerness to grow into a lead Superintendent role over time
- Basic understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination
- Ability to work effectively under a lead Superintendent and take direction
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
