Senior Accountant

Location: Knoxville, TN (primarily in-office)

Salary: $75,000-$100,000 Depending on years of experience!

Company Overview

Our client is a high-growth SaaS company providing point-of-sale and operational

software for major sports and entertainment venues. Following a recent

acquisition, the company is entering a new phase of growth focused on system

integration, process scaling, and expansion of the accounting and finance

function.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in building and

scaling the accounting and finance function. The title will be determined based

on the background and strengths of the right candidate, as this role will drive the

core accounting function in a fast-growing dynamic environment.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact opportunity with exposure to leadership and

the ability to grow into increased responsibility over time, potentially on a

leadership-track path.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure execution and

take ownership of processes, systems, reporting, and continuous improvement in

a growth-stage SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

 Own key components of the month-end close process

 Support financial statement preparation, reporting, and consolidations

 Work with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and deferred revenue accounting

 Partner with FP&A and leadership on reporting, analysis, and operational

insights

 Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business support initiatives

 Identify gaps and help build, standardize, and improve accounting and

financial processes

 Support system integrations, automation efforts, and process scalability

initiatives

 Assist with audit support and technical accounting matters

Qualifications

 4–8 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a blended

accounting/financial analysis role

 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

 Strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reporting, and/or financial

analysis

 Understanding of revenue recognition and deferred revenue concepts

 Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

 Ability to operate independently and take ownership of responsibilities

 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset

Preferred

 SaaS or software industry experience

 Experience supporting recurring revenue business models

 CPA (or pursuing)

 Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency or high-growth environments
