Job Title: 1:1 Educational Technician – ELA & Math Support
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and child-centered Ed Tech to provide 1:1 support for a student in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to help the student access curriculum, build academic confidence, and develop independent learning skills in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized academic support in ELA and Math
- Assist the student with classroom assignments, organization, task completion, and some executive function skills
- Reinforce teacher instruction and implement accommodations as directed
- Support positive behavior, engagement, and social-emotional growth
- Maintain communication and collaboration with teachers and administration
- Report on student progress as required
- Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment
Qualifications:
- Educational Technician certification I, II, or III
- Experience working with students in educational or support settings required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with literacy and foundational math interventions
- Orton-Gillingham certification
Schedule:
Part-time, primarily mornings, minimum 4 days per week
Compensation:
Based on Ed Tech level certification and years of experience
